Cala Larioni studied fine art at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland and at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. She is a graduate of the Tamalpa Institute where she studied expressive art education and therapy utilizing dance/movement, drawing, writing, and improvisational storytelling as tools to uncover and transform the stories, memories, and patterns held within the body. She has traveled to over a dozen countries and performed ritual art pieces at the pyramids in Egypt, the community of Damanhur in Northern Italy, India, and North America. Recent performance projects have included the Tamalpa Graduates Performance Collective, and Off The Hook Productions with whom she is co-writer and co-producer of the rock opera series "Venus Christ". Cala lives and works in the forests of West Marin, California. She is available for portrait commissions, and workshops and individual guiding sessions in the expressive arts.
